Healing Begins When We Stop Trying to Control

…And Start Learning to Connect

Whether I’m working with a child navigating big emotions, a teen exploring identity, or an adult rediscovering balance, my goal is the same: to create a space where you feel safe to be your full self.

I believe healing starts with understanding—not judgment. Therapy isn’t about “fixing” behaviors; it’s about uncovering what those behaviors are trying to communicate.

Drawing from Gestalt Play Therapy and mindfulness-based tools, I help families reconnect through presence, humor, and compassion.

You’ll find our sessions filled with curiosity & genuine human connection. Whether we’re building self-awareness through play, practicing mindfulness, or learning new ways to regulate emotions, our work together focuses on compassion over correction and understanding over judgment.

Together, we’ll learn new ways of responding—so that calm, connection, and confidence can grow again.

Child & Teen Therapy

Big feelings can be overwhelming—for kids and the parents who love them.

In therapy, I help children and teens build emotional regulation, confidence, and social connection through play-based and expressive methods rooted in Gestalt principles.

Together, we make sense of behavior and nurture a stronger sense of self.

Parent Support

When your child struggles, it can leave you feeling helpless or unsure what to do next.

Parent sessions focus on emotional regulation, communication, and advocacy—helping you understand your child and yourself through a new, compassionate lens.

You’ll learn tools to respond with empathy instead of reactivity.

Adult Therapy

For neurodivergent or anxious adults who feel overwhelmed or disconnected, therapy offers space to slow down, reflect, and rediscover balance.

Using mindfulness, Gestalt, and trauma-informed approaches, we’ll work together to strengthen self-awareness, release shame, and cultivate self-compassion.

I’m Sherri Hubbard, LMFT

I’m a licensed therapist, Gestalt Play Therapist, and lifelong advocate for children and families learning to understand their unique wiring.

As a neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ clinician, I know firsthand how powerful it is to feel truly seen and accepted for who you are.

My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and play. I don’t believe in “fixing” kids—I believe in helping them (and their families) reconnect to who they already are, with humor, humanity, and heart guiding the process.

Imagine If You Could…

Understand What Your Child’s Behaviors Are Really Communicating

Instead of feeling stuck in endless power struggles or confusion, imagine being able to recognize the needs beneath your child’s big emotions. Together, we’ll build tools to help you respond with curiosity instead of frustration, so connection can grow where conflict once lived.

Bring More Peace Into Your Daily Rhythm

From morning routines to bedtime transitions, small moments can feel like constant battles when everyone’s nervous system is overwhelmed. In therapy, we’ll explore ways to create predictable, nurturing rhythms that bring your family more calm, comfort, and stability.

Feel Confident Supporting Your Neurodivergent Child

You’ll learn how to honor your child’s unique wiring while setting compassionate boundaries that help them thrive. Whether it’s navigating school, friendships, or emotional outbursts, you’ll have the confidence and clarity to show up as the grounded, supportive parent your child needs most.
