Neurodiverse-Affirming Therapy for Children, Teens & Adults
Compassionate, Play-Based Support for ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, and Big Emotions—Available in San Diego or Online Across California
For the Moments When You’re Doing Your Best
But It Still Doesn’t Feel Like Enough
Many families and adults I work with don’t have a diagnosis. They just know something isn’t working, and they’re tired of guessing why.
The meltdowns that seem to come out of nowhere.
The shutdowns, anxiety, perfectionism, sensory overload.
The feeling that your child—or you—should be able to handle things that somehow feel impossibly hard.
That uncertainty can feel incredibly isolating.
Here, you don’t need a label to get support.
I offer a gentle, neurodiverse-affirming approach that helps make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface, whether or not ADHD or autism has ever been named. Using Gestalt Play Therapy, mindfulness, and nervous-system regulation, I support kids, teens, and adults in feeling more understood, more regulated, and more at ease in their own bodies.
Together, we focus on understanding before fixing—so your family can breathe a little easier and move forward with more steadiness, clarity, and connection.
Raising a child who struggles with big emotions—or living in a body and mind that feel constantly overwhelmed—can be exhausting, especially when you don’t have clear answers.

Therapy for Kids & Teenagers
Kids and teens often communicate through behavior long before they can put their feelings into words. In our work together, I use play, creativity, and nervous-system regulation to help them express emotions, process overwhelm, and strengthen their sense of identity.
As they feel safer in their bodies and more connected to themselves, you’ll notice shifts at home—more calm, more confidence, and fewer explosive or withdrawn moments.
In sessions, your child or teen will:
Explore emotions through play, art, and imagination—because feelings make more sense when we can see and experience them.
Learn tools for emotional regulation using movement, sensory activities, and grounding techniques tailored to their nervous system.
Build self-awareness and communication skills by identifying what they need, what they feel, and how to express it safely.
Practice navigating social challenges such as friendships, conflict, and boundaries with confidence and clarity.
Strengthen resilience after stress or overwhelm so they can return to calm more easily and feel more in control of their inner world.
Reconnect with themselves—their voice, their preferences, their strengths, and their unique neurodivergent wiring.
This work helps kids and teens:
Reduce meltdowns, shutdowns, and emotional outbursts
Feel more confident at school, with peers, and at home
Understand why their brain works the way it does
Develop coping skills they can actually use in real-life moments
Therapy becomes a place where they can play, explore, and grow—without pressure, judgment, or expectations to be anything other than who they are.

Parent Coaching
When your child is struggling, it’s easy to feel like you’re doing everything wrong—even when you’re trying harder than ever. Parent coaching gives you a supportive space to understand your child’s nervous system, learn new ways of responding, and feel grounded instead of overwhelmed.
You’ll gain clarity, confidence, and practical tools that make daily life feel more manageable for everyone in your home.
In our parent sessions, you will:
Understand your child’s behavior through a neurodivergent lens so meltdowns, shutdowns, or “not listening” finally make sense.
Learn co-regulation strategies for helping your child calm their body—without power struggles, shame, or constant conflict.
Build communication skills that reduce arguments and increase connection, even during stressful transitions or emotional moments.
Explore your own nervous system patterns and how your emotions influence the entire household (in a judgment-free way).
Strengthen routines and rhythms that support your child’s unique wiring and create more predictability and peace at home.
Receive guidance for advocacy—whether navigating school concerns, IEPs/504 plans, or conversations with providers.
This work helps parents:
Feel calmer, more grounded, and less reactive
Break old cycles of yelling, guilt, or overwhelm
Respond to big emotions with clarity instead of confusion
Support their child’s growth without burnout
Build a more connected and emotionally safe home
Parent coaching is not about doing it “perfectly.”
It’s about feeling supported, seen, and equipped with the tools to help your child—and yourself—thrive.

Many adults come to therapy wondering why life feels harder for them than it seems for everyone else. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by daily tasks, stuck in cycles of overthinking, or exhausted from masking who you really are.
Maybe you’ve always felt “different”—and only recently began to wonder if ADHD, autism, trauma, or sensory sensitivities might be part of your story.
Adult therapy gives you space to slow down, understand your wiring, and finally feel safe in your own body. Together, we’ll explore what’s underneath the anxiety, perfectionism, or burnout so you can reconnect with a calmer, more grounded version of yourself.
Adult Therapy
In sessions, you will:

Break patterns of self-criticism, overthinking, and emotional shutdown that have been running your life for years.
Explore the roots of overwhelm—including trauma, masking, sensory needs, or unmet support in childhood.
Practice mindfulness and body-based skills to help you return to calm when your thoughts spiral.
Build self-compassion by unlearning shame and embracing your authentic way of being.
This work helps adults:
Feel more in control of their emotions and reactions
Understand why certain tasks or relationships feel draining
Build healthier boundaries without guilt
Experience deeper connection with themselves and others
Break free from the belief that they’re “too much” or “not enough”
Adult therapy isn’t about becoming a different person.

Supporting Neurodivergent Brains
Step-by-Step
1. See the Wiring, Not the “Problem”
We reframe ADHD, autism, and big emotions as information—not flaws.
3. Build Regulation From the Body Up
Learn body-based and sensory tools that help calm the nervous system: breath, movement, play, and grounding practices.
5. Create Communication & Connection That Feel Safe
We work on skills for co-regulation, compassionate communication, and repairing after conflict—so relationships feel safer for everyone involved.
2. Understand Sensory & Emotional Needs
Together, we identify what triggers overwhelm, shutdowns, meltdowns, or anxiety, and why those reactions make perfect sense for a sensitive, perceptive nervous system.
4. Strengthen Emotional Language & Self-Understanding
Kids, teens, and adults learn to name what they’re feeling, recognize their cues, and understand their internal experience without shame or confusion.
6. Support Authenticity, Not Masking
Instead of teaching children (or adults) to hide who they are, we build confidence, self-trust, and the freedom to show up as their genuine selves—in their families, friendships, and daily lives.
If you’re overwhelmed, scared, exhausted, or unsure of what to do next…I get it. Truly.
There is nothing wrong with needing help. There is nothing wrong with wanting relief.

FAQS
⟡ How do I know if my child needs therapy?
If your child is experiencing big emotions, meltdowns, shutdowns, anxiety, social struggles, overwhelm at school, or sudden changes in behavior, therapy can help. You don’t have to wait for things to get “bad enough”—sometimes the earliest signs of distress are the most important to pay attention to. If you’re worried, trust that instinct. I’m here to help you explore what’s going on.
⟡ Do you diagnose ADHD or autism?
I don’t provide formal diagnostic evaluations.
My approach focuses on understanding your child’s (or your own) unique wiring without reducing anyone to a label. If a formal diagnosis is needed for school or medical purposes, I can help guide you toward trusted providers—while continuing to support you through the emotional and relational side of neurodivergence.
⟡ What does therapy look like for kids and teens?
For kids, therapy looks like play—because play is how children communicate, process emotions, and learn about themselves. Sessions include imaginative play, sensory activities, art, movement, games, and storytelling.
Teens can expect a mix of conversation, creative expression, humor, and tools for understanding their emotions and identity. I follow their lead while offering structure and support.
⟡ How involved are parents in the therapy process?
Very involved. Children don’t grow in isolation—so parent sessions are essential. Typically, I meet with your child for several sessions, then schedule a parent session where we explore what’s happening beneath the behaviors, practice regulation strategies, and find ways to support your child at home. This combination is what creates long-term change.
⟡ Do you work with autistic children and adults?
Absolutely. Autism is a core part of my practice, and my approach is fully affirming—not about masking or forcing compliance. I help autistic kids, teens, and adults understand their sensory needs, reduce overwhelm, and build confidence in who they are.
⟡ What if my child won’t talk in therapy?
That’s completely okay. Many kids—especially neurodivergent children—need time to feel safe. Play, drawing, movement, and sensory exploration allow them to express themselves without words. I follow their pace and help build trust slowly, gently, and respectfully.
⟡ What is parent coaching, and how is it different from therapy?
Parent coaching focuses on your regulation, communication, and confidence as a caregiver. You’ll learn strategies for co-regulation, responding to big emotions, setting boundaries with compassion, and advocating for your child in school or medical systems. It’s not about “fixing” your child—it’s about empowering you.
⟡ Do you offer virtual therapy?
Yes. I offer telehealth to adults, parents, and older teens across California. Virtual sessions can be incredibly effective—especially for neurodivergent clients who feel more regulated at home.
⟡ What are your rates?
$215 initial intake session; $175 individual therapy session
⟡ Do you accept insurance?
I currently accept Aetna and MHN/HealthNet. I also offer private-pay options. If you’re unsure about coverage, I encourage you to contact your provider directly—they can help clarify your benefits.
⟡ What if I’m not sure what services I need?
That’s completely okay. Many families come in unsure where to start. A consultation gives us space to talk through what you’re experiencing and decide together what support will be most helpful.
