If you’re here because your child is struggling or your own nervous system feels stretched thin, I want you to know you’re not failing.

I’ve spent my life learning what it means to feel different, overwhelmed, or unsure how to manage emotions that seem “too big.”

As a neurodivergent therapist, I approach every child, teen, and adult with the same compassion I needed when I was younger: a place to feel safe, understood, and accepted.

My work centers on helping individuals and families rebuild connection, regulate their nervous systems, and rediscover the parts of themselves that got lost along the way.

Wherever you are in your journey—whether overwhelmed, unsure, or simply exhausted—I’m here to walk alongside you with honesty, patience, and care.

Why Play Therapy?

Play is how children speak…

…long before they have the words for what’s happening inside them.
In the playroom, a tower becomes a boundary.
A stuffed animal becomes a protector.
A game becomes a rehearsal for courage, confidence, or connection.

My job isn’t to direct the play…

…or “fix” the behavior.

It’s to join the child—on the floor, at their level—and help them reconnect with the parts of themselves they’ve had to hide, quiet, or shut down.

Play therapy isn’t “just playing.”

It’s a research-backed, experiential way for kids to:

  • Explore big emotions

  • Build confidence

  • Grow self-awareness

  • Practice regulation

  • Heal from trauma

  • Develop social and communication skills

Through imaginative play, art, storytelling, movement, and sensory exploration, children rediscover their voice, their agency, and their natural ability to return to balance after big feelings.

And when that happens, everything begins to shift—at home, at school, and inside their own hearts.

What I Know for Sure About Neurodivergence…

1. Neurodivergent brains aren’t broken, just wired differently.

What looks like anxiety, “not trying,” perfectionism, or overwhelm is often a brilliant brain working overtime without the right support.

2. Behavior is communication, not defiance.

Meltdowns, shutdowns, big feelings, and sensitivities all make perfect sense once you understand what the nervous system is trying to say.

3. With understanding and regulation, everything changes.

When kids (and adults) feel safe in their bodies, their true selves emerge—more connected, confident, and capable than they ever felt allowed to be.

“Healing is remembering the parts of you that know how to play, imagine, and feel deeply—and learning to welcome them back home.”
